We take pride in innovation through designing, constructing, building, maintaining and operating our own crushing and screening plants for Tier 1 mining sites. Additionally we provide ore processing and materials handling services to the mining industry across Western Australia.
The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSE Advisor to join our site-based team on a FIFO (Fly-In, Fly-Out) basis, working an 8/6 roster. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert HSE advice and support to our project operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company standards. A key focus of this position will be the development and delivery of HSE training programs, as well as conducting competency assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective HSE management systems and procedures.
- Foster a positive safety culture through effective communication and engagement.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
- Investigate incidents and near misses and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver engaging HSE training programs to site personnel.
- Conduct competency assessments and maintain accurate training records.
- Provide expert advice on HSE legislation, regulations, and best practices.
- Foster a positive safety culture through effective communication and engagement.
- Prepare and present HSE reports and statistics.
- Ensure that all emergency response plans are in place and understood.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an HSE Advisor role, preferably in a FIFO environment.
- Formal qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., Diploma, Degree).
- Strong knowledge of relevant HSE legislation and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct competency assessments.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent).
- Relevant industry-specific certifications (e.g., ICAM, Root Cause Analysis).
- First Aid and CPR certifications.
