  • Part-time (0.4 FTE), fixed term contract until 31 December 2027
  • Commencement salary: $80,099 pro rata per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

    About the Role

    The teaching position, Lecturer in Modern Greek Language, will be responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery coordination of innovative course(s) in modern Greek. With a deep understanding of Greek culture, linguistics, and the modern Greek language, the Lecturer will employ contemporary teaching and learning methods to create exceptional learning experiences for students.

    Core Responsibilities

  • Design and develop contemporary curriculum in Modern Greek Language. This includes implementing learning activities for online and/or face-to-face delivery and the development of assessments including the provision of appropriate student feedback
Implement innovative teaching approaches for online and/or face-to-face delivery to promote student learning Undertake teaching and learning classes as part of the UniSA Education Futures teaching team, including coordinating moderation of student assessments Act as a student advisor by providing academic counselling, mentoring and advice to students Undertake course coordination responsibilities and/or provide leadership to other academic staff in the teaching team

Essential Skills and Experience

A Bachelor qualification with relevant experience in Modern Greek language and/or linguistics. or Education Native or near native skills in both Modern Greek and English Proven expertise in teaching Modern Greek as a foreign language and a demonstrated ability to teach Modern Greek culture and literature courses Proven experience working and engaging with relevant stakeholders in the community and industry, including through externally-funded project Demonstrated ability in the design and preparation of teaching activities and resources in the relevant program areas in a range of settings and student experience levels
