- Manage the month-end close process for the ESG & Climate Fund investment portfolio.
- Lead the preparation of monthly cash flow forecasts for the Freight and Corporate portfolios.
- Support the preparation of quarterly Return on Invested Capital (ROIC) calculations.
- Collaborate with Group Finance and Finance Business Partners to develop annual budgets, update monthly forecasts, and provide related reporting.
- Fixed-term, 12-month full-time position based at Qantas Head Office in Mascot.

The Centre of Financial Excellence (COFE) is a service responsible for ensuring financial processes and reporting are standardised, controlled and efficiently executed across the Group. On a day-to-day basis, our Financial Control Teams, working in a centralised Finance function, support the various Finance Business Partner Teams and the business to drive effective decision-making.
As the Senior Financial Analyst , you will be responsible for month-end close, assisting with forecasting and reporting, analysis and advice on all financial aspects across the ESG & Climate Fund investment portfolio as well as supporting other elements of the Corporate Segment. In this specific role you will be required to co-ordinate, collate and control inputs from multiple business areas, review, consolidate and prepare insightful commentary for relevant stakeholders.
You’ll have –
- Professional accounting qualifications (CA/CPA qualified)
- Experience in a financial accounting role, with 5+ years’ experience
- Strong communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong attention to detail, working with large volumes of often complex data
- Motivated self-starter with questioning mind/ analytical skills
- Able to provide value-add analysis and advice
- Able to work under time pressure and reprioritise when required
- High level of accountability and resilience
