Role :
We are seeking experienced and motivated Fitters to join our team at Wasco Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for mechanical trades activities associated with Gas Compression and Packaged Equipment, as well as workshop activities involving the repair and overhaul of serviceable components.
Specific Functions and Tasks :
- Responsible for the setup, maintenance, and servicing of tools, service vehicles, and equipment.
- Maintain general workshop cleanliness and layout to ensure an efficient working environment.
- Carry out mechanical workshop work, including overhaul and maintenance job orders for customers.
- Provide field service and maintenance support at customer sites.
- Willingness to travel throughout Australia on short notice for breakdown/repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Participate in workshop activities to repair parts and equipment to maximize operational efficiency.
General Functions and Tasks :
- Actively support and demonstrate Wasco’s commitment to occupational health and safety, the environment, and C.A.R.E, in alignment with the Wasco IMS.
- Ensure all work activities conform to the requirements of the Wasco HSE Management System.
- Promote and adhere to safe working practices and procedures.
- Encourage the reporting of incidents, near misses, accidents, and injuries, ensuring appropriate documentation is completed and all reported events are investigated.
Qualifications Required :
- Trade Qualification and Secondary Education.
- Certificate III in Mechanical Trade or Equivalent.
- Certificate in Fitting & Turning or Equivalent.
Knowledge/Skills Required :
- Proficiency in fitting, turning, and machining skills.
- Experience with Gas Compression Equipment Repairs and Maintenance.
- Operational and maintenance experience in a mechanical trade environment.
