Reporting to the Head of Salomon, this role is responsible for developing and executing an integrated localized marketing strategy that elevates the brand and drives growth across Australia and New Zealand. This strategic leadership role will lead, manage and define success for all aspects of the brand’s marketing strategy, including omnichannel campaign delivery, PR, community marketing, sports marketing and events, digital marketing strategy, trade marketing and retail marketing. This role is pivotal in leading a dynamic team that connects Salomon’s global vision with local consumers, ensuring that Salomon becomes the leading mountain sports lifestyle brand.

Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and deploy a comprehensive Salomon ANZ long term strategic omnichannel marketing strategy.
- Implementation of a cohesive marketing strategy that bridges performance-driven and lifestyle-driven consumer segments to enhance brand visibility and growth
- Lead the creation of local ANZ Salomon Epicentre strategy – focussing on building awareness and driving conversion in key defined locations
- Drive Brand Awareness, Engagement and Conversion across Salomon’s Strategic pillars
- Lead the planning, ideation and integration of cross-functional marketing campaigns, oversee campaign strategy & integrated marketing plans, closely working with the brand, commercial and merchandise teams to optimize impact
- Oversee the Localization of global brand omnichannel calendar to provide clear visibility on campaigns across all touchpoints. Demonstrate an ability to adapt to consumer, market, and operational requirements
- Drive digital-led consumer journeys informed by consumer insights and analytics. Define the overarching digital marketing strategy and collaborate with Head of Digital to ensure strategy is effectively implemented
- Responsible for delivering elevated Omnichannel Retail executions & consumer experiences – with a focus on own retail and select strategic B2B accounts
- Lead and unify Product/Consumer Marketing, PR & Community Marketing, Retail and trade marketing & digital marketing functions under a cohesive vision to optimise efficiency and maximise impact
- Lead the overall structural development of the Salomon ANZ Brand Marketing team, aligned with short, mid and long-term strategic objectives
- Clearly define success measures for each function and role in the ANZ Brand Marketing team
- Demonstrated ability to utilize deep category and consumer insights and translate data into actionable strategies and marketing initiatives aligned with business objectives
- Ensure a clear cascade and communication of Salomon ANZ Brand Marketing strategy – internally, regionally and globally
- Define, monitor and manage marketing budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve brand goals
- Regularly report progress and results to senior leadership and HQ, demonstrating the impact of marketing strategies
So, who’s keen?
The ideal candidate will have 10+ year’s experience in marketing leadership roles gained from global consumer sporting goods or lifestyle industries . A proven track record of developing innovative and integrated marketing strategies that have accelerated brand and commercial growth is essential, as is strong understanding of retail, digital and B2B marketing experience. The role will appeal to a leader who has experience of unifying and developing diverse teams and has a strategic and agile mindset as well as the ability to inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement . Consumer and market analytics will be a key strength and budget planning, management and reporting will come naturally. An outstanding knowledge within the ANZ retail / lifestyle / sporting goods market is essential coupled with the ability to influence stakeholders across a matrixed environment with multiple geographies, cultures and languages.
