  • $45 hour casual rate or $85,000 plus super per annum

  • Monday to Friday 8.00am-4.30pm

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Purchasing and Inventory Officer to join their highly dynamic and professional team. The purpose of this role is to coordinate efficient and effective inventory planning and raw material management across 2 plants.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and energetic "go-getter" looking to develop their experience within FMCG industry.
Roles and Duties

  • To understand and monitor market conditions and to recognise the implications they may have on future purchase transactions and applying appropriate actions to minimise loss of sale
  • Issue purchase orders to vendors for the supply of goods and/or services
  • Provide clear communication advice to all internal customers on Purchase Order status
  • Respond positively to all internal customer requests and give direction as required
  • Manage the purchase requirements for stock replenishment as required or as directed across 2 sites
  • Drive investigations/resolution to slow moving stock and implement procedures to reduce instances/better manage these situations
  • Review product set ups to ensure data is accurate and maintained appropriately. In addition, assist in maintaining/improving product numbering system to reduce confusion and errors both internally and between sites
  • In league with other division planners, develop a clear system for mould sharing/transport that optimises sharing between sites
  • Revise/develop systems for raw materials purchasing and subsequent inventory management

Qualifications and Experience

Mandatory

  • Planning experience and APIC's qualification or equivalent
  • Proven experience in supply chain management, highly desirable
  • Prior experience in forecasting and replenishment software, preferred
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, Microsoft 365
  • Intermediate - Advanced ERP, MS Excel and SAP skills
  • Desire to succeed and a passion to 'just do it'.

Desirable

  • Experience Working within FMCG and Plastics Industry.
  • Procurement and/or Purchasing experience.
  • Warehouse/transportation experience
  • Experience in FSSC, HACCP, GMP systems.
