Description:
Kinexus have partnered with a Sydney-based Defence SME in their search for 2 Software Engineers to work across a number of Defence projects in building variants of products for the global Defence industry and working on Defence R&D projects. Both roles require strong software programming experience with a good knowledge in systems engineering.
This is a permanent position based in Sydney, with up to 2 days per week working from home, which also requires you to be eligible for NV1 security clearance (meaning you must have Australian Citizenship).
Requirements for these two roles are as such:
Software Engineer 1 (3+ years experience)
- Strong in Java programming deploying to Windows and Linux systems.
- Exposure to the Defence industry and/or systems engineering processes are preferred.
- Experience working in a small, project-based company environment.
- Willingness to work outside standard business hours (there is a UK team you will need to communicate with, however you can start later/finish earlier if you are working early/late)
- Fantastic communication skills.
Software Engineer 2 (3+ years experience)
- Strong in C++ programming deploying to Windows and Linux systems.
- Experience working in a small, project-based company environment.
- No Defence experience required, however a willingness to work on Defence systems (R&D and exisiting products).
- Fantastic communication skills.
