Role details
The Acute Care Team at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Mental Health Clinician (Occupational Therapist or Psychologist or Social Worker or Clinical Nurse)to join their team.

Your opportunity
The position will be based in Mackay as part of the Acute Care Team. The position will provide Intake/triage, assessment and crisis management functions as part of the Mackay Division of Mental Health Acute Care Team. The position will work a varied roster 7 days a week with RDO accrual. The position works all shifts (morning, afternoon and night shifts).
About the Team
The Acute Care Team is the first point of contact to public mental health services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The team will undertake triage and may facilitate the referral of the consumer to a more appropriate internal and/or external service such as a community mental health team, an alcohol and drug service or primary health care.
