About the role
Techimac is looking for a capable HR Driver & Installer to join our team in Sunshine West, Victoria. This is a full-time position, responsible for the safe delivery and installation of highly sensitive technical equipment to our customers across the local region. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
What you'll be doing
- Operate a heavy rigid vehicle to deliver and install a wide variety of sensitive technical equipment at our customer sites
- Safely load, secure and unload goods using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Provide excellent customer service, liaising with project staff and customer site contacts to coordinate deliveries and installations
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks to keep the fleet in good condition
- Adhere to all relevant road transport regulations and Techimac's safety policies
- Assist with other warehouse and logistics duties as required
What we're looking for
- A current HR driver's licence and at least 2 years' experience operating heavy rigid vehicles – applicants who have a trade or technical background willing to obtain their heavy vehicle licence are encouraged to apply
- Demonstrated experience in a similar delivery, installation, technical or trade role is desirable
- Customer service orientated with good communication skills
- Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to safe work practices and a proactive approach to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work well with others and independently
- Be available to travel and flexible to work varied hours including overtime as required
