Role Description/Criteria

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • a commitment to Catholic education, and an understanding of the leadership role in Catholic education;
  • a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children;
  • current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching;
  • accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school or be working towards gaining this;
  • a completed Victorian Registration and Qualification Authority Fit and Proper Statutory Declaration;
  • evidence of working towards or attainment of academic qualifications additional to initial teacher education (Master’s degree or five year equivalent);
  • relevant leadership experience within the last five years in Catholic parish primary schools, or current experience in a role associated with and supporting Catholic parish primary schools;
  • commitment to dialogue, teamwork and the skills to work collaboratively;
  • a passion for working with children, dedicated to supporting their academic, emotional and spiritual growth;
  • highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to relate positively with others.
  • highly developed organisational and time management skills.
  • a commitment to their own personal, spiritual and professional growth.
  • experience in leading Learning and Teaching and/or Mathematics is advantageous.
