About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our team at Bakers Delight Wheelers Hill, VIC. This is a full-time or part-time role, offering flexible working arrangements to suit your needs. As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and supporting the overall operations of our store.
What you'll be doing
- Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Responding to customer inquiries and providing product information and recommendations
- Processing sales transactions, handling cash and operating the point-of-sale system
- Maintaining the store's appearance by replenishing stock, tidying displays and ensuring the store is clean and organised
- Collaborating with the team to achieve store sales targets and goals
- Adhering to company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail sales role, preferably in the Retail & Consumer Products industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle customer inquiries and concerns
- Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- A team-oriented attitude and the willingness to contribute to the overall success of the store
