About the Role
As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, building on your experience and/or further study. You will consolidate your knowledge and skills in the perioperative journey, from admission to recovery and discharge, while assisting in both simple and complex endoscopic procedures. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to be trained in the critical area of cleaning and disinfecting medical equipment, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety for our patients. Your expertise will continue to grow as you develop from a competent to proficient practitioner, becoming a key member of a dedicated healthcare team.
In this leadership capacity, you will support the Nurse Unit Manager in managing and guiding a team of nursing professionals. Your responsibilities will include promoting continuity of care, assisting in implementing practice changes, and contributing to the overall management of the ward/unit/service. You will also support the NUM in key administrative tasks such as performance management, recruitment, rostering, leave management, and financial planning. About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team. To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post-registration experience or classified as a Clinical Nurse.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities with excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and manage your workload independently.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and contemporary healthcare issues, with a commitment to quality improvement.
