The Opportunities

Legal Services is looking for experienced and enthusiastic people interested in administrative, legal secretarial and receptionist roles to form and develop a pool to service future vacancies across our Organisation and we anticipate vacant roles may become available soon.

As a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant you will ensure individuals telephoning or attending Legal Services are greeted and provided with excellent service that is centred on our clients. You will also assist with the efficient running of the reception area by ensuring administrative tasks which support our client service programs are completed on time, including booking legal advice appointments and handling telephone and email enquiries.

As a Legal Secretary you will provide a confidential secretarial and administrative support service to a direct group of Lawyers who may be working on criminal, family or civil matters. This would include generating and formatting emails, letters, minutes, legal and Court documents as well as arranging client appointments, Court hearings and settlements.

Please indicate your preferred role, working days and office location, ensuring you're matched with a position that suits your preferences. This pool will include working within either our Adelaide, Elizabeth, Port Adelaide or Noarlunga offices.

Total Indicative Remuneration Package

$66,550 - $71,506 per annum pro rata including salary, superannuation and leave loading.

As a not-for-profit organisation, Legal Services is able to offer its employees attractive salary sacrifice arrangements, including up to $15,900 pre-tax each Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) year for general living expenses.

Term of Employment

The various positions within this Pool are available at the ASO2 classification level however, we anticipate vacant roles may become available soon.

What You Need for Success

The ideal candidate will:
  • Demonstrate experience in providing professional and timely reception and administrative support services in a demanding environment including dealing with challenging clients in a culturally appropriate manner.
  • Demonstrate experience in providing a range of administrative support services including preparing correspondence, coordinating and maintaining appointment diaries.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage priorities and work to deadlines.
  • Make decisions and exercise sound judgement about what need to be referred to supporting legal staff.
  • Possess strong digital skills and competency.
  • Exercise confidence, sensitivity and discretion in handling confidential matters and difficult clients.
