Job Title: Senior Facilities Manager

Role Overview :

As the Senior Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and improvement of our facilities in Craigieburn . You will lead a team of facilities professionals, manage vendor relationships, and ensure that the workplace environment is safe, efficient, and conducive to productivity. You will report directly to senior leadership and play a key role in strategic planning for facilities management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance, operations, and repair of all facility systems and infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety equipment.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of facilities staff, ensuring high performance and effective training.
  • Coordinate and manage third-party service providers and contractors for maintenance, cleaning, and other operational services.
  • Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and adherence to financial goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage space planning and workplace strategies to enhance the efficiency and safety of the work environment.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for facility-related issues, providing exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders.
  • Lead sustainability initiatives and ensure environmental best practices are adopted across all facilities operations.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on facilities operations, performance, and maintenance schedules to senior leadership.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Facilities Manager or in a similar senior-level facilities management role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and compliance regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience managing budgets and negotiating with vendors and contractors.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address issues proactively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in Facilities Management, Building Management, or a related field.
