We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual to join Biala Peninsula as an Early
Childhood Allied Health Practitioner.


Reporting to a Biala Team Leader, this role is responsible for supporting children with specific developmental needs, delays, or disabilities to achieve their therapeutic goals and build the capacity of parents and caregivers.
This includes:

  • managing a varied paediatric caseload alongside a multi-disciplinary team;
  • conducting assessments and providing therapy to meet the needs of children in the areas of autism,
  • communication, self-regulation, motor skills, social skills, exec functioning, self-care participation and
    inclusion;
  • working on site at Biala’s purpose built facility or within the child's natural environment (childcare,
    kindergarten, school or their home);
  • providing support in person or via Telehealth.


About You
You are a Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapist (new graduate or an experienced therapist) who is energic,
proactive and passionate about the work that you do.
You pride yourself on your ability to achieve warm, friendly relationships with children and their families, one that is
supportive of and responsive to the physical, social and emotional needs of each child.


You possess:

  • Previous experience working in a paediatric NDIS service provision setting (desirable).
  • Bachelors degree or higher in a relevant discipline (i.e., Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Early
    Childhood Teaching, Psychology, Social Work) coupled with the relevant registration.
  • Sound knowledge of discipline specific intervention for working in a paediatric setting with children with
    disabilities and developmental concerns within the Early Childhood Approach.
  • An understanding of the requirements of working in the NDIS setting and from a capacity building Early
    Childhood Approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage own time, deadline driven with exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills.

To succeed in the position of Allied Health Practitioner you will need to have strong relationship building and
communication skills, be able to execute work in a timely manner, be flexible to the changing needs of Biala and thrive working in an environment where you can collaborate with peers and the wider community.
