The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists to work on a once in a generation reform to senior secondary schooling. Join the VET Delivered to School Students (VDSS) branch in the Senior Secondary Pathways Reform Taskforce to work on key system reforms to how schools provide students with access to vocational education and training and support students to have a broader range of pathways.
Key responsibilities:
The Analyst supports data use and reporting products across the VET Delivered to School Students branch by identifying and addressing evolving data and evidence needs to drive effectiveness and strategic decision-making.
Priority data work across the VDSS branch includes:
* the development of the VDSS data strategy and rollout of data collection processes
* data analysis to improve the supply and demand of VET and inform policy changes and business cases for future investment
* operational oversight of VDSS funding and student transport.
The role will be expected to work flexibly across teams and on different areas of the VDSS reforms.
