Role DescriptionThese roles are full-time for Senior and Principal Power System Engineers located in Australia. The Power System Engineers will be responsible for conducting power system studies for the grid connection of renewable energy projects. The role offers significant career advancement opportunities as the company expands, providing a fast pathway to senior leadership and technical roles.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s or PhD is advantageous).Chartered Engineer status (CPEng) is preferred.Valid Australian work rights or permanent residency.
Experience:Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in power systems engineering with a focus on grid connection of renewable energy projects.Proven expertise in using power systems analysis and modelling using software such as PSS®E, PSCAD, and DIgSILENT PowerFactory.Strong technical knowledge of power systems studies, including RMS, EMT, small signal, power quality (harmonics, flicker, voltage unbalance), short circuit, & load flow studies. Experience in developing scripts to automate the execution, analysis, and reporting of complex power systems studies.Familiarity with the Australian grid connection process (Chapter 5 of the NER) and experience in negotiating GPS with AEMO and NSPs.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information to clients and stakeholders.Leadership skills with experience mentoring junior engineers.Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
