We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Clinical Manager to guide our teams in our Universal Aftercare program - Care Connect across the Central Coast, Greater Newcastle, Upper Hunter and Manning regions.
Care Connect is a non-clinical support service focused on providing psychosocial support to people experiencing a suicidal crisis or who have attempted suicide. The service is designed to increase access and engagement with care to prevent further suicidal behaviour and/or self-harm.
This role gives you an opportunity to:

establish the Care Connect program into the Central Coast and Greater Newcastle regions to improve the care and support received by people after a suicide attempt

guide a multidisciplinary team in providing evidence-based best practice

expand your network by collaborating with a range of community-based organisations

We are looking for an experienced mental health clinician with a desire to lead a team and make a difference. The successful candidate will have:
-
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, i.e. psychology, mental health nursing or social work (with mental health accreditation) and relevant professional registration e.g. AHPRA, AASW.

Demonstrated experience in establishing and building stakeholder relationships and an understanding of the community services landscape across the identified service regions
-
A high level of organizational, time management and administrative skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines
-
Outstanding relationship, negotiation and conflict management skills
-
Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable people and an understanding of recovery principles to guide a team providing high quality, customer-centered supports
-
At least two years’ experience in leading a mental health / suicide aftercare program and work force

At least four years’ experience in a clinical mental health setting
