We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. This role requires collaboration with our culinary team to develop and execute menu items that align with our café’s upscale image and commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
• Presentation and Plating: Artfully plate dishes to enhance visual appeal, adhering to the café’s aesthetic guidelines and elevating the overall dining experience.
• Menu Development: Collaborate with the culinary team to innovate and refine menu offerings, incorporating seasonal ingredients and contemporary culinary trends.
• Quality Control: Monitor and maintain the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation, conducting regular tastings and assessments.
• Kitchen Maintenance: Ensure a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment, complying with all health and safety regulations.
• Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring inventory levels, conducting stock checks, and communicating supply needs to the kitchen management team.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a cook in an upscale dining establishment or similar environment.
• Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
• Exceptional understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Strong aesthetic sense with the ability to present food attractively.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
