The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Carpenter to join our team. As a Lead Carpenter, you will oversee carpentry projects, manage a small team, and ensure high-quality workmanship. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills, leadership ability, and a commitment to safety and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to plans and specifications.
• Perform skilled carpentry tasks, including framing, formwork, finishing, and custom installations.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Train and mentor junior carpenters, promoting skill development and best practices.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans to execute work accurately.
• Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Trade qualification in Carpentry (Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5+ years of carpentry experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport (preferred).
• White Card (Construction Induction Card) required.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
