About the role

A Brand Custodian & Thought Leader for Are Media's Syndication Content/Sales processes; nurturing, seeking and converting syndication business opportunities is integral to this position that sits within the Marketing Team's ePublishing & Syndication business unit.

Syndicating a selection of Are Media's prestigious and sought after content from recipes to home interiors forms the basis of this opportunity:

  • Reporting into the ePublishing and Syndication Manager and working within a small, effective and dynamic team will see you multitasking and driving new opportunities on a daily basis
  • Syndicating Are Media's content to International Agents
  • Building and growing a database of direct and agency clients for the Australian market
  • Working to quarterly/annual budgets with a generous sales incentive in addition to the base salary

Duties

A snapshot of day-to-day tasks:

  • Service and maintain our regular client base of International Agents
  • Build a solid local Syndication client base from the outset to drive new business
  • Create lightboxes and contact sheets for the purpose of Syndication
  • Understand copyright processes and rates for syndication
  • Negotiate new deals
  • Convert incoming sales enquires
  • Meet revenue targets
  • End to end Sales Account Management
  • Invoice clients and managing financial reports for your client base
  • Work with our Trade Marketing Team to drive awareness of our product and services
  • Responsible for creating newsletters, presentations and other relevant collateral for Go To Market proposals

Essential Skills and experience

  • Proven Track Record in Sales (a similar or related field a nice to have, not essential)
  • Driven and proactive - this is a 'hunter' not a gather sales position
  • Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal
  • A flexible team player
  • Presentation Skills (PPT/Canva)
  • Experience in building compelling sales proposals
