The Ministry Coordinator is responsible for the ministry training aspects of the Summit Program, most significantly the delivery and assessment of the Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology. This role in training and equipping the next generation of gospel workers, as well as overseeing on-camp Christian Discovery sessions and other spiritual inputs for staff, is vital in supporting CRU’s mission of reaching people with the gospel of Jesus.As part of the Ministry Team and reporting to the Ministry Manager, this full-time role will be based primarily at CRU’s campsite at Galston. Whilst working closely with our trainees to support them in fulfilling the requirements of their course, you will also be involved in writing training materials, assisting with the creation and management of the Christian Discovery sessions used on camps; leading and speaking on camps and be involved in CRU’s mentoring program.
We are keen to consider applications with:
- Outstanding Christian character with a mature faith and a passion for sharing the gospel with children. An active involvement with a local church would usually be demonstrated.
- A full agreement with CRU’s ‘Basis of Belief’.
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience in a related field such as; Theology, Divinity or Christian Ministry.
- Experience and proven ability in the creation and delivery of biblical teaching material (e.g. sermons or training seminars).
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, particularly leadership/mentoring of adults.
- Ability to teach the Bible to children and apply the Bible to non-Churched audiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including computer literacy and a strong eye for detail.
- A current driver’s licence.
- NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
