Blue Mountains Grammar School (BMGS) is a co-educational Christian School in the Anglican tradition for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Music Teacher to join our Senior School on a temporary, part-time basis (0.8 FTE) for the remainder of the 2025 school year. As a Music Teacher at BMGS, you will play a key role in inspiring and nurturing our students' love for music while delivering high-quality lessons. You will be part of a passionate team of educators who are dedicated to providing an excellent education in line with our school’s ethos and values.

- Salary in accordance with the 2025 CMEA
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and deliver engaging music lessons that foster creativity and academic achievement while promoting the values of the School.
- Design music programs that cater to a diverse range of student abilities and interests, supporting each student’s growth.
- Use differentiated teaching methods to ensure all students are challenged and supported.
- Provide constructive and timely feedback to students, encouraging their academic progress and personal development.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievements and communicate regularly with parents about student progress.
- Cultivate a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment where students feel supported and valued.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as music ensembles and school concerts, further enhancing the school community.
- Participate in professional development to continually improve your teaching practice and keep up with the latest educational trends.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in Music and Education.
- Experience teaching music at the senior school level.
- Proven ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
- Current NESA accreditation to teach in NSW.
- Full Australian work rights.
- Current Working With Children Check.
