Westhaven has a temporary part time opportunity available within the On-Call Services Team.
The On-Call Advisor will be a single entity responsible for managing critical incidents and time sensitive operational issues across Adult and Children Services. Westhaven’s On-Call Service operates across 24 hours, 7 days a week (excluding 10:00am to 3:00pm Monday to Friday) and is supported by the On-Call Manager.

Competitive Salary: Level 4, Pay Point 1: 43.08 per hour (Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010) Plus Superannuation

About the role:
As an On-Call Advisor you will be responsible for providing support to staff by managing all incoming calls to the service, analysing and responding to critical incident requests on matters relating to emergencies, behaviour escalations and situations requiring immediate support to ensure the health and well-being of Participants and Child/Young Persons.
Key responsibilities:

Respond to incoming calls for assistance relating to critical incidents and emergencies

Undertake a thorough assessment of all calls and plan and initiate an appropriate response utilising Westhaven’s incoming call matrix

Manage and provide guidance in the supply of medication and treatment relevant to the client care needs of Participants / Child Young Person

Support in the development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of On-Call service systems and processes to ensure effective reporting and escalation of all critical incidents and matters of reportable conduct
To be on the forefront of this opportunity you will:

Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills with excellent relationship building and collaborative capabilities

Demonstrate effective conflict resolution skills, negotiation and decision making skills

Ability to use initiative and conduct tasks with a high degree of accuracy, sensitivity and confidentiality

Demonstrate an ability to support participants, children and young people with complex needs, behaviours of concern and mental health
Essential requirements of the role include:

A current NSW Driver’s licence

The ability to obtain and maintain a paid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
-
The ability to obtain and maintain a National Disability Insurance Scheme Workers Check (NDISWC)
