Minding Family has a strong and established reputation and we need more clinicians to support our referrals and clients – is that you? We are offering exciting opportunities to join our growing, dedicated and motivated team. We currently have a Clinical Psychologist; Senior Occupational Therapist; Registered and Provisional Psychologists and a Clinical Registrar. We pride ourselves in providing excellence in allied health assessment and intervention in a safe and respectful environment. We are keen to build our team to manage our wait list.
Our practice has a diverse range of referring agencies / medical practitioners and our clinicians work with a wide range of referring problems across the lifespan. We are well known as a family focused service, yet we receive referrals from infant through to more mature individuals and our clinicians see the age group they are most comfortable working with. Clinical Presentations range from complex diagnoses through to individuals negotiating life choices and challenges. As such, you would be able to work in the area you are able to excel. You could choose to focus on Assessment; Therapeutic Intervention or have a mix of both.
We have opportunities for part or full time hours. You may have some or all of the following skills we are looking for:
Key Skills:
- As a Psychologist you would have, or are nearing eligibility for:
- full registration with eligibility for a Medicare Provider Number
- relevant Liability Insurance
- Experience working with / assessing adolescents and adults and / or
- Experience working with / assessing children and families
- Experience in the core Evidence Based Therapies
- As an Occupational Therapist, you would have, or are nearing completion of:
- full registration with AHPRA
- desire to learn from and work with our Senior Occupational Therapist
Hoped for Skills:
- Post-graduate qualifications or nearing completion of post-graduate qualifications
- Membership / eligibility for membership to your chosen Psych Society
- Endorsement or working towards endorsement in Clinical, Counselling or Ed and Dev
- Supervisor Training or nearing completion of this training
- Training / experience in Neuro-diverse presentations a major advantage
- A strong understanding of the support that families require when their family is Neuro-diverse, including ASD, ADHD, Learning Disorders, Tourettes or other Developmental Challenges.

- Active team member who looks forward to participating in staff training, professional development & supervision - with both Peers and Provisionals
- Strong assessment & report writing skills as well as other administrative tasks
- Ability to engage clients effectively
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with local referral agencies
- Self-motivated, passionate and a strong willingness to continue developing your skills
- Flexible and creative thinking
