Description:
We are looking for an experienced multidrop HR/HC Driver that is excited at the prospect of joining a growing chemical distribution company. You will be the face of the company and dealing with customers daily, so it's important that you take pride in what you do and how you do it.
Based out of the Gold Coast, you will be delivering palletised freight to the Gold Coast and Brisbane areas. This is a Dayshift Multi Drop position. Approximately 40 hrs per week but more in peak periods. Work days Monday to Friday with normal hours between 6am and 6pm (no night or weekend work). Overtime paid after 8 hours. With hard work and great can-do attitude, this position can lead to permanent and ongoing work. You are driving a late model, well maintained, 14 pallet tautliner HR truck with tailgate.
Requirements for this Position:
- Available for an immediate start
- Proof of right to work in Australia
- Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence and minimum 2yrs experience. HC/MC is desirable
- Forklift license
- Multidrop experience
- Physically fit and able to carry lift up to 25kg
- Able to operate a forklift and an electric pallet jack
- Recent Driving History Report
- Reliable and Punctual
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Excellent presentation
- Strong attention to detail and comfortable with paperwork
- Able to pass a dangerous goods Medical exam
- Logbook
- Some lifting required - Willing to perform manual/hand unloads as required.
- Confident driver - MUST BE COMFORTABLE MOVING AND PARKING A BIG TRUCK AROUND SMALL CITY STREET
Advantageous to have:
- HC license
- Dangerous goods ticket (or willingness to sit the two-day course in your own time - course fees to be covered by our company)
- Fatigue management training
- Knowledge of chemical classes and dangerous goods/CoR requirements
