Speed Elec is family owned and operated business. We have an affiliated Sign business located at the same premises. Our electrical company works hand in hand with our signage business, with a variety of signage works carried out within the electrical business. Our industry is fast paced, demanding and frenetic. It insists on safety, attention to detail, integrity, and forward thinking.
Speed Elec requires a dedicated & hard-working individual to join our team of electricians. The role is a permanent casual position. A contract of employment and an induction process will be entered.
Works Include, but not limited to:
- Reactive & Proactive Maintenance works on:
- Digital billboards
- Static illuminated billboards
- Digital and static signs within shopping centres, airports & universities
- Up to 10-hour days 5 days a week
- Night works & weekend works available
- Service Call out works
- Overtime / Afterhours works, with digital callout works
- Domestic & Commercial works
- Must have a current Qld Electrical Licence
- Must be able to work independently with excellent time management skills
- Must be able to work well within a team environment
- Must be able to complete all job / site paperwork as necessary
- Fully maintained company vehicle, uniforms & phone supplied
- Work area ranges from Sunshine Coast to Gold Coast area's
If you have a fear of heights , cannot lift heavy materials or require a part time role then this is not the job for you.
Preferable qualifications include:
- Manual QLD Drivers Licence, with MR classification or higher an advantage
- Working at heights training
- Must have a current Qld Electrical Licence
- EWP 11+ ticket, an advantage
- White (Blue) Card
- A fit and healthy physicality with heavy lifting capabilities
- A hard working, reliable and dedicated team member attitude
- Confidence & capability in working at heights and/or confined space
- A willingness to learn, accurately complete job sheets, provide feedback on any OH&S matters, and leading by example will secure you a bright future in Speed Elec.
