Description:
Do you have a strong natural sense of customer service? Would you like to work for a business that helps connect employers and apprentices and makes a real difference? This could be the perfect role for you.
The Queensland Team is currently looking for an Industry Training Consultant to be based in our Brisbane office covering Brisbane city, Ipswich, Toowoomba and surrounds areas . How you’ll play your part in supporting the next generation of Australian apprentices.
As an Industry Training Consultant, you'll be the friendly face that helps ASA "sign up" apprentices with businesses. You'll be out on the road meeting with employers and apprentices/tradies daily - you could be in a corporate office building signing up an apprentice accountant and then on an industrial worksite signing up an apprentice electrician in the space of half an hour. So, the ability to communicate across a broad range of personality types and a working knowledge of the VET industry will be your best assets.
Beyond the "sign up" process, your days will also consist of scouting new potential clients, keeping strong relationships with existing clients and, of course, a healthy dose of administration.
A bit about you
- You'll be out on the road almost every day, we'll provide the car, but you'll need a current Australian Driver's License.
- Prior experience in the Vocational Education & Training industry is a big bonus, but training will be provided, so it's not essential.
- You're excellent at managing your own time and schedule; you don't need someone watching over your shoulder to get things done.
- You have a strong attention to detail and have the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communications skills are a must. The "sign up" process involves legal documentation, so you need to be careful, clear and concise.
- You're not afraid of paperwork, and you don't put things off until later.
To be Successful in this role, you will:
This is the perfect opportunity to utilise your strong customer services skills gained in retail, hospitality, sales and transfer into a corporate setting.
- Proven experience in customer service, sales, business development and time management
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop, maintain and grow relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to set goals, organise own workload, prioritise, meet deadlines, and see tasks through to conclusion.
- Excellent computer literacy and keyboard skills.
