As a key academic and research leader in the Let’s Yarn About Sleep (LYAS) program, you’ll apply advanced biostatistics to community-driven research, improving sleep health in First Nations communities. As an Associate Professor (Level D), you will: Be nationally recognised for your research, with a proven ability to secure competitive grants and lead major research projects.Influence and advance your discipline through impactful research and thought leadership.Inspire students and colleagues through exemplary teaching, curriculum innovation, and academic mentorship.Establish and maintain strategic partnerships at local, national, and international levels that lead to significant real-world outcomes.Contribute to University governance, academic leadership, and a positive, forward-thinking academic culture.

To be appointed at Level D, applicants need to demonstrate: A doctoral qualification in a relevant field and substantial experience as an academic leader.A well-established research program with sustained contributions to high-quality research, successful research supervision, and strong external recognition.Demonstrated research leadership, including mentoring early-career researchers, shaping research culture, and serving on national discipline panels.A passion for student success, with leadership in curriculum design, research-led teaching, and innovations in learning and teaching.Proven ability to drive engagement and excellence in both research and teaching, recognised through formal awards or leadership roles.A positive and influential leadership approach that fosters collaboration and academic excellence.Extensive experience in academic administration, contributing to university-wide initiatives and strategic priorities.A track record of building and maintaining productive partnerships at regional, national, and international levels.
Desirable for Level C & D Postgraduate qualifications in higher education.Formal recognition for excellence in learning, teaching, or research.
