Description:
We are seeking a full-time Bar Supervisor to join, lead and shape our busy and exciting team in our brand-new main bar. The successful candidate will have proven management experience and a passion to progress and develop a career in the Hospitality Industry.
You will take on a role that plays an integral part of the Venue Management team, you will need to continue to develop, build and support a strong team, while providing our members and guests with a superior customer experience not found anywhere else in the region.
The successful applicant will be energetic, enthusiastic and be prepared to contribute to the role and the vision to create a leading hospitality destination at Harrup Park and the Great Barrier Reef Arena.
The purpose of the position;
- To manage, train and lead the bar team, and provide support and consistency.
- To prepare and serve a range of beverages to customers in an efficient and effective manner.
- To provide a high standard of gaming services to customers within a specialised environment of TAB and KENO.
- Ensure service is within the scope of the Club’s Mission Statement.
Essential Criteria
- Current QLD RSA and RSG Certificate or ability to obtain within 30 days of appointment.
- Current TAB Compliance
- Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
- Ability to supervise, direct and train staff in your area.
- High standard of personal presentation and hygiene
- Available to work as per roster to satisfy the needs of the business to work flexible hours.
- Be reliable, punctual, friendly and pleasant.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively within a fast-paced environment
- Accurate cash handling skills
- Good knowledge of beverage, requirements and responsibilities
- Ability to contribute to maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Ability to complete manual handling tasks as required for the role
- Intermediate knowledge POS programs
- Proven ability to use initiative and be a self-starter.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ensure attendance at other training courses pertinent to this position as organised and directed by the Operations Manager and / or Human Resources Manager.
Preferred Criteria
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Workplace health and safety training
- Certificate III or tertiary qualifications in hospitality
- A desire to develop a career within the hospitality industry
