Our client has a wide range of projects in the pipeline across local government, state government (Transport & Main Roads), energy/gas and private sectors. The firm also offers services across structural & geotechnical engineering, environmental management, and asset management. Founded in the 1950’s, our client is one of Queensland’s largest regionally based Consulting Engineering firms, with offices and team members in Chinchilla, Roma, Tara, Miles and Toowoomba.
What will my role include?
Working predominantly in the civil design arm of the business, you will be involved in all aspects of the projects and project management. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Analysis and preparation of technical reports;
- Inspections of works in progress to verify compliance against design;
- Administration of construction contracts;
- Mentoring staff;
- Scoping of projects and preparation of fee proposals; and
- Communicate across all levels and interpret client needs.
The successful candidate will have extensive Australian experience in a relevant civil engineering area. This experience will also be backed by a Civil Engineering degree that is recognised by Engineers Australia. Registration as a Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) or eligibility for registration is not required, however will be highly regarded. You will also have:
- Demonstrated knowledge of Austroads and DTMR design requirements;
- Experience with DRAINS, CIRCLY, WaterCad software packages will be highly regarded; and
- Minimum 10 years civil engineering experience (minimum 5 years relevant Australian experience).
