Noodle Box (Glenelg) in Adelaide offers a diverse menu of Asian cuisine, with a focus on noodle dishes and plant-based options. Located on Glenelg Jetty Road, this restaurant is popular for its variety of noodles such as Chinese Honey Soy and Japanese Teriyaki, as well as dumplings and fried rice dishes. Among the favourites are the Chinese Honey Soy and Japanese Chicken, often ordered alongside Salt & Pepper Squid. The menu also features a range of soups, street sides, and limited-time specials like Crispy Honey Sesame Chicken.
Noodle Box Glenelg is seeking a talented and qualified Chef to join our passionate team. This is a full-time opportunity for individuals committed to creating exceptional dishes and leading a busy kitchen environment.
Qualifications & experience
- At least Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery / Kitchen Management ; and Diploma in Hospitality Management
- Proven experience as a Chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment for at least 3 years.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a deep passion for the culinary arts.
- Ability to thrive under pressure while efficiently managing multiple tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead kitchen operations and manage the preparation of exceptional dishes.
- Planning weekly and daily specials and promoting our dishes.
- Supervise kitchen staff to ensure the efficient execution of daily kitchen operations.
- Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene are maintained.
- Work with fresh ingredients to create delicious, innovative meals.
- Handle kitchen inventory and maintain stock levels.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee food safety procedures and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth communication and timely service.
- Implement and maintain kitchen cleaning schedules to meet hygiene standards.
