About the role
If you have a passion for people, a flair for collaborative planning, extensive experience in injury management in a self-insured environment with the ability to think outside the box, and are looking to make a difference, this is the role for you.
The role is instrumental in managing our industry-leading early intervention and injury management program. It also plays a critical role in coaching and developing the management team at Viterra in early intervention practices. You will lead the way in which injured employees are supported in their return to work, ensuring the best outcome.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Injury Manager to join our Health and Safety team and lead our injury management function across Australia and New Zealand.
This role is supported by a Return to work coordinator.
Duties
- Manage the early intervention and claims management process end to end with effective strategies for return to work
- Engage managers and supervisors across the business to ensure positive return to work outcomes for injured employees
- Manage the rehabilitation process for our injured employees
- Manage dispute resolution processes
- Monitor legislative change and review and update impacted workers compensation processes and documentation
- Manage the Return to work coordinator/Safety administrator
- Manage the external audit process for the injury management system.
About you
- Motivational and innovative approach to injury management

- Effective communicator with strong influencing skills
- Previous experience in a similar role within a self-insured environment
- Extensive knowledge of the South Australian Return to Work Act and Self-Insurance requirements in South Australia, knowledge of workers compensation requirement across other states and New Zealand
