About the position
We are seeking a Forklift Operator to efficiently manage the distribution of freight within our Gillman Depot. The position is responsible for loading, unloading, sorting and staging consignments from receival through to dispatch.
Additionally, the Forklift Operator will manage inbound and outbound freight, report damaged goods, consolidate pallets for return and complete daily pre-start activities and vehicle checks to ensure safe and effective operations.
The position is permanent full-time, working Monday to Friday – 6:00am to 2:00pm
About you:
- Valid Forklift License
- Previous forklift experience in a logistics environment
- Strong understanding of the Chain of Responsibility and Safe Manual Handling Practices
- Dedication to safety protocols and a cooperative team-oriented approach
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
