Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex laboratory tests and analyses to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. The Medical Laboratory Scientist will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely laboratory results.

Responsibilities:

Perform complex laboratory tests and analyses on blood, urine, tissue, and other body fluids.

Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning correctly.

Prepare samples for examination, following strict protocols to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Analyze test results and report findings to physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Ensure all laboratory work is conducted in compliance with established standards, procedures, and regulations.

Maintain accurate and detailed records of all tests and procedures performed.

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies in laboratory testing.

Participate in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and techniques.

Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure a cohesive and efficient working environment.

Stay up-to-date with advances in medical laboratory technology and techniques.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.

Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent.

State licensure as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (if required by the state).

Proven experience in a clinical laboratory setting.

Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
