ABOUT US

Tristate Empowered Communities (Tristate EC) is part of a national initiative, with regional backbone organisations in 10 locations around the country, connected by a national Empowered Communities team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Tristate EC is seeking a passionate and motivated Project Officer to help lead the Emerging Leaders program. This initiative supports Anangu leaders aged 25-40, empowering them to take on governance and management roles within local communities, councils, and organisations across the Tristate, NPY region (SA, NT, WA).

As a Project Officer, you will work closely with the Tristate EC team to continue to develop and deliver the program. This includes co-designing the next phase of the curriculum and content with senior Anangu leaders, program alumni, service providers, NIAA, and other stakeholders.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the empowerment of Indigenous leaders through capability-building and transformative leadership development.

ABOUT YOU

  • You will have experience designing and delivering community-based leadership or capacity-building programs.
  • Strong organisational skills and time management.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with community leaders, service providers, and stakeholders.
  • Experience in recruitment, participant support, and mentoring for leadership development.
  • Skilled in monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on program outcomes and impact.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team, design training, and advocate for Indigenous leadership and cultural respect.
