Client & Location Information: As the only community Pharmacy in the immediate area the workload reflect the diversity and volume of what is happening in the region and the sub tropical climate, The store is heavily involved in aboriginal and general health in the region through front of shop activities and through PBS S100 (Remote Supply to Aboriginal Health Services) service provision to a variety of AHS, remote area Health Clinics, Aged
Care Facilities and local hospitals. Kununurra is located 3,000km north of Perth (about 1,000km north of Broome) in the beautiful East Kimberley region of northern Western Australia, on the banks of Lake Kununurra,
Dates:
1st September onwards, ideally seeking locums who can work min 4 weeks at this stage
Work Hours
Weekday: 8.30 to 5.30 pm 30 min break.
Saturday 9am to 1pm no break.
Job Specification : As the locum Pharmacist you will be dispensing, checking webster packs. The Store has a strong front of shop or primary care business and all the Pharmacists are required to spend a lot of time out in the retail area talking directly with their patients. If you are accredited for UTI, Vaccinations these may also form part of your duties, The Store also dispenses Cannabis, Methadone, ECP and Medical Termination Pill (but these are not essential). . HMMR/DMMR work may also be available if accredited.
Experience Required:
* Registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA).
* Strong people skills and primary care exp essential.
* Vaccination preferred but not essential.
* Cannabis Preferred but not essential.
Salary & Benefits: (paid by Raven's).
Weekdays: $75/HR + super.
.Saturdays; $80/HR + super .
Extra: Travel and Accommodation.
Travel : Flights into regional airport every day Air North/QANTAS link and Virgin. (Client can book flights or locum can and be reimbursed.)
A car will be provided for the use of locum, manual or automatic (please advise).
Accommodation: Will be provided i n a privately owned 2 bedroom upper floor apartment at the Freshwater East Kimberley Apartments in Kununurra (see http://www.freshwaterapartments.NET.au/ ) - this is high level resort style accommodation located within a modern development located approximately 800-900 metres from the pharmacy, with onsite pool, barbecues and a Kimberley-themed landscape. The apartment is fully self-contained with laundry facilities, broadband internet, TV (including Foxtel), sound system, all furniture, cutlery, cooking utensils, bed-linen etc provided. IT IS PET FREE. Approx 800 metres from Store.
