Description:
Auto masters is seeking a skilled and dedicated full-time Motor Mechanic to join our team in Cannington. We require a professional with the right attitude, technical expertise, and minimum of 1 year of relevant experience with ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups to ensure compliance with pollution regulations.
- Diagnose faults and test vehicle parts using diagnostic tools and software.
- Repair and replace worn or defective parts, referring to service manuals when needed.
- Reassemble engines and mechanical components after repair.
- Manage inventory and stock reordering as directed.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following health and safety regulations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, explaining technical issues in a professional manner.
Qualifications & Experience:
✅ Minimum AQF Certificate IV in Automotive Technology or equivalent.
✅ Candidates with a Diploma in Automotive Technology or Management will be highly regarded.
✅ At least 1 year of experience as a Motor Mechanic.
Essential Skills:
- Strong expertise in light vehicle repair, servicing, and maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of petrol engines, suspensions, transmissions, steering, and braking systems.
- Ability to interpret vehicle service manuals accurately.
- Competency in using computer-based diagnostic tools.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Passion for the automotive trade and a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
