Become a member of our niche team in an industry recognised rehabilitation medicine service working with a specialist rehabilitation medicine physician and occupational medicine physician, whom coordinate the care of each patient, and work with external specialists and trusted allied health colleagues to ensure that our patients achieve an optimal quality of life, and a life with dignity and meaning.
The Position
We are seeking motivated and experienced medical receptionists to join our team who are looking for a long term position. The successful applicant will work in general medical administration roles such as organising appointments, maintain records and perform administration & other tasks in order to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the practice and provide an exceptional standard of care to our patients.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Supporting the physicians to ensure exceptional customer service levels are delivered
- Meeting and greeting patients
- Scheduling appointments
- Billing of medical consultations and procedures
- Liaise with patients and their families in a compassionate manner
- Liaise with GPs, other health professionals and their staff
- Patient data entry, processing payments and receipting accurately
- Opening and closing the clinic
- Scanning/ filling patient correspondence
- Ordering supplies
- Perform other administrative duties as directed
- Assist in basic procedures
Attributes
- Previous experience in a specialist medical environment minimum 2 years experience
- Experience with GENTU is required and Best Practice Software
- Meticulous attention to detail and data entry skills
- Highly organised, excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
- Ability to use initiative and work both independently and as a part of a team
- High level interpersonal and written communication skills
- Professional disposition and personal presentation
- Mature, sensitive and empathetic approach to patient care
- Ability to interact with people with impaired communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft office; Outlook, Work, Excel, MS Teams
- Police clearance
- Basic Life Support Certificate
