About the role and where you will be working:
We are looking for an exceptional Occupational Therapist to join our team supporting our clients at Germanus Kent House in Broome.
Germanus Kent House is at the heart of the Broome community and features a modern, state of the art facility, incorporating the natural beauty and vibrant culture of the Kimberley region into its design.
As a Southern Cross Care (WA) OT, you will have a passion for working in partnership with older people and for developing and delivering person centred therapeutic programs. We are looking for someone to facilitate individual and group therapy for our clients.
This is a permanent part-time position offering 45 hours per fortnight, worked over 3 days per week.
This part time position fills three days at Jeremiah Donovan House (Forrestfield) and three days at Villa Pelletier (West Leederville) facilities.
We’ll also be asking you to:
- Delivery of high quality OT services to our clients and residents
- Leadership to assistant staff to deliver activity and therapy programs
- Communicate effectively with the care team to enhance the wellbeing of residents.
- Contribute to quality improvements in allied health and the residential service
- Comply with Allied Health and Workplace Health and Safety policies, procedures and safe work practices
About you:
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist. You will also need a strong commitment to person centred care and able to work both independently and within a team. Most importantly, you'll have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in our residents' lives.
