With a strong reputation for providing efficient and reliable transport solutions, our client are expanding their team and are seeking an experienced Transport Allocator/Scheduler to join them in a permanent capacity.
Role Overview:
As a Transport Allocator/Scheduler, you will be an integral part of their operations team, responsible for the efficient scheduling and allocation of transport resources to meet the needs of their clients in the civil infrastructure, earthmoving, and bulk haulage sectors. You will work closely with drivers, clients, and the operations team to ensure the smooth running of transport logistics, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Allocate and schedule transport resources in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor and track fleet movements and ensure that deliveries are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with drivers to ensure all safety protocols are adhered to and equipment is well-maintained.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and effective communication.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any transport-related issues or delays, minimizing disruptions.
- Provide regular updates and reports on fleet and transport performance.
Skills & Experience:
- No previous experience in transport scheduling is required.
- Ideal candidates will have experience working in an office environment and be computer literate.
- A positive, energetic attitude with a strong desire to learn and develop new skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work effectively as part of a team.
- A strong focus on attention to detail and high organisational skills
- A willingness to upskill and take on new challenges as part of career growth.
- Previous experience in administration and coordination would be advantageous
