The opportunity
We are looking for a Lodgements Officer to join our Property Claims Team! In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering exceptional claims service as the initial point of contact with our stakeholders. Your new role
- Create an exceptional first impression by delivering a superior lodgement and initial contact experience for our customers.
- Efficiently lodge new property insurance claims, ensuring a smooth start to the claims process.
- Engage with clients to gather essential information, obtain policy details, and request necessary documents
- Conduct initial evaluations to determine the validity and coverage of claims, ensuring accuracy and fairness.
- Work seamlessly with underwriting and claims assessment teams to streamline the process, fostering a team-oriented environment that ensures a smooth and hassle-free experience for our policyholders
About you
- You have a strong focus on customer service, with the ability to build rapport over the phone and manage varying customer expectations and demands.
- Your empathetic approach allows you to be friendly yet professional when dealing with customers.
- Adaptable to new technologies and digital claims processes in line with QBE's modernisation journey
- Self-motivation and organisational skills to be able to multi-task efficiently across various systems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment and contribute to a collaborative team culture
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment, coupled with effective workflow management to minimize delays in processing claims
