About The Opportunity:
Due to strong growth in the transmission and distribution sector we are adding to our Acciona team in WA. We are seeking a Quality and Completions Manager to be based out of the project office initially but travel to site as required. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and completions processes for our power transmission and distribution projects. This role requires a strong background in HV Lines and Substations, specifically in quality management, completions and a deep understanding of industry standards and regulations.
Key accountabilities for the position
  • Develop and implement a Quality Management and Completions Plan
  • Plan, undertake and/or coordinates internal and external audits including those on consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Review relevant performance criteria and report statistical results monthly/weekly or as directed
  • Lead audits of suppliers and subcontractors in the field to improve and maintain a heightened level of quality
  • Guide Project Managers, Project Engineers and Construction Teams with their responsibilities regarding Quality
  • Manage Inspection and Test Plans, Factory Acceptance Testing, Quality & Completions documentation and adherence of the project to Regulatory & Statutory requirements and contractual requirement regarding QA/QC.
  • Review consultant, subcontractor and suppliers' documentation for conformance to and consistency with the Project quality reporting and/or record requirements
  • Manage quality non-conformance and the RFI system and analyse trends
  • Maintain a Project library of relevant legislation, Standards, Codes and related publications either in hard copy or soft copy access and make available to relevant personnel on an as needed basis
  • Review project Construction method statements, inspection and test plans and checklist against the project requirements
  • Review reports of lot management and nonconformities before issuing to the Construction Teams
Required Skills and Competencies
  • Knowledgeable of quality documentation, standards, contracts and compliance across large scale and complex electrical scopes of work
  • Experience in High Voltage electrical power transmission and distribution
  • Experienced in leading engineers in the field and advising them on quality frameworks and standards to ensure work is carried out carried out correctly
  • Confident and capable in maintaining governance and reporting
  • Highly developed communications skills and ability to work with a range of personalities to get the best outcomes possible
