About the role:
An exciting opportunity is available for full-time Diesel Motor Mechanics to join the team in Wagga Wagga, NSW. As a key member of the Intersales team, you will be confident in all aspects of hands-on service work and committed to providing exceptional customer service.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Perform a range of tasks including service, repair, test and maintenance of machinery in accordance with the Australian Industry Standards and Practice.
- Delivery of diagnostic and repair services (tractors, harvesters, seeder equipment, application equipment, construction equipment, advance farming systems).
- Equipment upgrades, fabrication, machinery delivery.
- Mechanical advice and excellent customer service in dealing with all enquiries and assigned work orders.
- Inspect machinery or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects and apply knowledge and skills to select the correct part to complete the repair. Consult relevant technical manuals, both paper and electronic, when required.
- Ensure that work is completed efficiently and that all information is available to facilitate invoicing being performed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure completion of paperwork and other record keeping requirements including service reports and time sheets.
- Provide detailed description of the repairs carried out in the service report book and present copy to workshop office on completion of job.
- Test drive machines to ensure the problem has been identified and/or fixed.
- Maintain workshop tools and equipment and return them to the Tool Store in full working order after use. Report any lost or damaged tools or equipment to the Storeperson.
- Adhere to all Workplace Health and Safety obligations in accordance with the laws and rules of NSW.
Skills & Experience:
- Certificate III in Heavy Engine Mechanics, Fitter, or Agricultural Mechanics.
- Current Drivers Licence.
- Proven work experience as a diesel fitter mechanic / diesel motor mechanic.
- Ability to think independently and work as part of a team.
- Demonstrated understanding of NSW Work Health and Safety regulations.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- High level customer service, strong attention to detail and self-motivation.
