The Data Analyst Intern will assist in the collection, cleaning, and analysis of datasets for Sustainability Victoria (SV).
The Data Analyst Intern will support the development of data visualisations and reports to effectively communicate findings. Collaboration with various stakeholders to understand data needs and provide analytical support is essential. The role also involves participating in the implementation of data-driven solutions and maintaining existing dashboards and information products. The Data Analyst Intern will document new and existing processes.
Key requirements of the role include both the technical capability to manipulate, analyse and present data in dynamic and visually interesting formats, and the ability to understand and interpret the needs of stakeholders and provide insights in formats to suit the required purpose.
Working to critical timeframes with the drive and commitment to achieve results while being resilient and adaptable to the demands of an agile working environment is essential.

Position Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analysing datasets.
- Support the development of data visualisations and reports to communicate findings.
- Maintain existing dashboards
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand data needs and provide analytical support.
- Participate in the implementation of data-driven solutions.
Key Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience with visualisation tools (Power BI is preferable but not essential)
- Ability to collect, clean, and analyse datasets effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively collaborate and engage with a wide range of stakeholders and understand and interpret their needs.
- Strong written and oral communication skills including demonstrated capability to communicate effectively with a broad range of audiences.
