The Thales Australia AWS business offers ship repair, maintenance and asset management / in-service support capabilities for commercial and naval ships in Australia. The business also offers the provision of docking, reticulated services and facility maintenance within Garden Island.
The Role:
Opportunity to join Thales Above Water Systems as a Core Bid & Project Controller to oversee the financial management of bids and projects. If you're an experienced finance professional with a strong background in financial analysis, risk management, and stakeholder collaboration, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make an impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide financial support for bids and projects, ensuring accurate financial analysis and risk management.
Validate financial components for Commitment Control Review and bid review gates.
Manage financial forecasting, revenue monitoring, and cost variance analysis.
Implement financial control structures, including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS).
Collaborate with project managers, controllers, and sales administration to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
Prepare high-quality financial reports and deliverables in a timely manner.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor of Commerce (or equivalent) in Accounting and CPA/CA certification.
Experience in financial management within large organisations, particularly in bids and projects.
Strong data analysis skills and experience optimising business performance.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including customer-facing responsibilities.
Leadership experience in a finance-related role.
Australian Citizenship (required for security clearance).
Ability to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance & ITAR clearance
