Ready Steady Go Kids is a multi-sport & exercise program for pre-schoolers aged 1.5-6yo. Across over 180 locations, the program has been designed by a Physiotherapist, and is a great way for kids to learn the concept of sportsmanship, boost school readiness skills, develop gross motor skills, and encourage a healthy lifestyle, while learning a basic understanding of a variety of sports including tennis, hockey, basketball, athletics, soccer, AFL, rugby, t-ball, golf and cricket.
Ready Steady Go Kids is searching for outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic super coaches to join our growing award winning multi sport program.
We operate 7 days a week and have multiple shifts available, immediate start for the right candidate
All our classes run in the mornings ranging from 2.5-4 hours.
We generally operate during school terms
Description:
The right candidates MUST:
- Be able to roar like a tiger, fly like a plan, stomp like a T-Rex
- be available multiple days weekdays and Saturday or Sunday mornings with start times from 8am (this could be either a regular 10 week block or on call)
- be energetic, confident and loud individuals who are extremely fast learners and shows excellent initiative.
- be able to confidently engage with children between the ages of 18months - 6 yrs of age as well as with their parents / carers
- have a current working with children check or be willing to obtain one
- be committed to work at different locations
Qualifications & Experience
- Any experience working with kids will be favourably regarded
- Any coaching experience will be favourably regarded
- Coaching level 2 will be required - but can be completed upon starting
- You must love sports, have an energetic personality.
- Working with Children Check (Employee Version) will be required
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Delivery of the Ready Steady Go Kids program in the 30-45 minute classes with another coach
- Interaction with children aged 1.5 – 6 years old
- Interaction with parents, caregivers and educators
- Teaching 10 different sports
- Showing the kids the benefits of warming up and stretching
- Playing games that are fun and interactive
- Keeping classes running on time
- Setting up and packing up equipment before and after classes
- Applicants who can work weekend days will be looked upon favourably
