About the program
You’ll help us make government services simple so people can get on with their lives.
As an agency, we offer a range of health, social and welfare payments and services through:

  • Centrelink
  • Medicare
  • Child Support.

We want forward thinking graduates who have fresh ideas to help transform the way we work. We’ll partner with you to develop your skills and expertise. We’ll give you a range of experiences and opportunities to launch your career in the Australian Public Service (APS).

Streams

We offer 9 streams in our program. Most streams follow a 10-month program, with the legal stream running for up to 18 months.

You can apply for our generalist stream and, if eligible, one of the specialist streams. Our streams are:

  • data
  • digital
  • finance and accounting
  • generalist
  • human resources
  • legal
  • service delivery
  • service design
  • social work

Eligibility
To be eligible for the program, you must be an Australian citizen.
You’ll need to have successfully passed and completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree within the last 5 years.

If you got your degree overseas, you’ll need to have it recognised by the Department of Education.
