About the role

This role coordinates and undertakes road asset management, road project planning and management activities with a focus on meeting the needs of internal and external clients while ensuring the sustainability of Council’s roads infrastructure.

Role accountabilities include:

  • Manage the preparation of the road Asset Management Plan and provide input into the Overarching Strategic Asset Management Plan on behalf of the City’s roads portfolio.
  • Undertake a proactive approach to ensure key stakeholders are informed of relevant issues and forward planned works and provide support for the development and implementation of road related service planning.
  • Develop and implement strategic improvement plans to ensure risk is appropriately managed and prioritised for the portfolio primarily through ensuring appropriate monitoring systems are in place and asset data relating to the City’s roads portfolio is recorded in the asset management information system.

About you

You will have a Bachelor Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification with experience in the fields of infrastructure management, road design, road construction and/or road maintenance. With well developed communication and consultation skills to facilitate effective engagement with a range of stakeholders, and experience in the management and coordination of technical staff.
