Owner Inspections, a reputable Australian business known for reliability, trustworthiness, and commitment, is currently seeking skilled professionals for multiple specialised roles within the building inspection and consultancy industry. Please note, these positions are separate roles for different individuals. Join our professional and supportive team to provide high-quality, independent inspection services.
Position 1: Building Defect Investigation Inspector / Legal Dispute Expert Witness
Requirements:
- Registered Builder or Building Inspector qualification
- Engineering qualification advantageous but not mandatory
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in building or construction
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in defect investigation or expert witness roles
- Completed at least 10 expert reports for Tribunal/Court/AFCA
- Experience attending tribunal or court hearings preferred
Position 2: Insurance Assessment Inspector
Requirements:
- Registered Builder qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience inspecting and assessing insurance claim damages
- Ability to promptly deliver detailed assessment reports
Position 3: Building & Pest Pre-Purchase Inspector
Requirements:
- Registered Builder or Building Inspector qualification
- Timber Pest Inspection qualification
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a registered builder or building inspector
- Minimum 2 years' practical Timber Pest inspection experience
- Knowledge of NCC and Australian Standards
Position 4: Construction Stage & Defects Inspector
Requirements:
- Registered Builder or Building Inspector qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a registered builder or inspector
- Expert knowledge of Building Acts, Regulations, Australian Standards, and NCC
- Ability to identify major and minor construction defects
General Requirements for All Roles:
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Residents
- Valid Driver’s Licence and Reliable car
- Relevant Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance
- Current Police Check
- Competent with iPad, computer literacy, and plan reading
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and professionally representing our brand
- Ability and willingness to inspect roof spaces and subfloor areas
- Available Monday-Friday, with occasional travel within metro and regional areas
